Hans Viksten’s oil painting from 1962 titled MALLORCA (signed on back) is a striking summer depiction of a Mediterranean memory. The Swedish maestro has a gestural quality to his paint strokes that feel very vivid, expressive and alive. I love his work and own several of his paintings during his larger sized painting era in the 1960’s.
