Description
A wonderfully compelling Bengt Lindström etching of two figures. The composition is signed and numbered ‘21/90’. Bengt was one of Sweden’s most celebrated contemporary artist. He has been heavily influenced by the ethnic traditions of the Nordic people and the Sami culture. His confidently guided and quick handed work offered here recall a primitive sensibility - which is no coincidence as many of his works play with themes of Scandinavian Mythology. The expression of both figures and abstract quality of their body parts makes it difficult to distinguish where one’s starts and the others begin. I find some haunting but loving quality in this.
Framed recently in cherry wood and glass.
