Description
A hand sculpted ceramic vase depicting an underwater scene. Perhaps inspired by the great Gaudi and his distillation of the Mediterranean - a Nouveau approach to carving which gives the illusion that the oceanic icons on the vase are pulsing with life. This relief type style is unlike any I have come across and finding this in a back alley antique store in Barcelona with not a square inch to move has undoubtedly helped to shape the mystery behind this great work.
