A limited edition, signed Juergen Teller Giclee print from his 2017 exhibition at Alison Jacques Gallery titled “Go-sees, Bubenreuth Kids and a Fairytale About a King…”

Over 12 months from May 1998, Teller photographed the aspiring models who visited him in the hope of being cast for one of his shoots. Pictured on the threshold of his West London studio, the images speak to the intimate and slightly strange transaction in an audition between a young woman and a male photographer. His subjects appear variously shy, hopeful, self-assured, unpolished, playful, vulnerable. While there are some now-famous faces, it’s curiously fascinating to imagine the lives of those who failed to make the cut.
