Description
A beautiful hand thrown studio pot/vase from Japan featuring motifs of glazed brushstrokes in blue, green and orange. It has a real presence of size and playful painterly quality that we here at the gallery find the most sincere. It has these raised lines throughout the piece where the coloured glaze bumps and skips over near the bottom of the pot - I like to think that whoever threw this piece worked it like a canvas after the shape was created. Functionally gestural!
