Description
A wonderfully one of a kind ceramic. Porcelain glazed on earthenware clay. Signed on the back. A great addition to your collection.

The maker is unknown but it has VERY distinct Joan Miro type motifs painted on the front of the plate. A constellation of form, figures, and shapes. The plate is quite old. Judging by the glaze and material the piece is likely from the 1920's, Japan.
I had found this in a small village outside Tokyo from an antique ceramic dealer. Perhaps this is a lost Miro, perhaps it is not - one thing is for sure there is nothing like it. This piece will create a wonderful conversation about 'What if" at the least.
There is only one in the world. This is a gorgeous example and masterpiece of Japanese pottery and skillful painting/glazing techniques.

Let it honour your appreciation for this craft and for your collection.
