The bat is a Cave icon - owned too long by the comic world - the rebrand has begun. The bat symbolizes both endings and beginnings - they inhabit and protect the caves of our world. Because they represent both birth and death, they are very much a metaphor of transitions and perceptions. Mysterious and misunderstood, the bats lore extends to every country and culture on earth and dates back thousands of years.
