Biography
Architect and designer, Tobia Scarpa (son of Carlo Scarpa) graduated in 1969 from the University of Venice and that same year he won the “Compasso d'Oro” for his “Soriana” chair designed for Cassina. Since then he has received many other design awards and many of his designs can be found in some of the world's leading museums, including the Libertà chair on display at the Louvre.

As an architect, he has worked with both public and private clients, including the Benetton Group for whom he designed the famous industrial area and production plants in Castrette di Villorba (Treviso). Even today, the Benetton facilities are considered an example of aesthetic-functional excellence, one of the most interesting pieces of industrial architecture.
