PURPLE MAGAZINE ISSUES #1-16
In 1998 Olivier Zahm and his partner Elein Fleiss printed the first issue of PURPLE a Parisian literary art zine was the culmination of many different iterations of their early versions of the now internationally recognized Purple. Purple Prose, Purple Journal, Purple Fashion, Purple Sexe, and Purple Fiction. This collection was the manifestation of these individual projects. Each issue features sections of all of the aforementioned.
Arguably, an incredibly important record of the burgeoning talents in Fashion, Photography and Art. Many incredible editorial content with early collections from Helmut Lang, CDG, Yohji Yamamoto, Margiela and Sonia Rykiel to name just a fraction. Photographers include; Wolfgang Tillmans. Juergen Teller, Mark Borthwick, Terry Richardson, Jack Pierson, Collier Schorr, Takashi Homma, Roe Ethridge, Mario Sorrenti, Vivienne Sassen etc etc etc. An independant epic, with incredible depth and creativity.
For the collector. I’ve done all the hard work of sourcing all these issues over many years. The issues #1-6 are sized 22x16 cm and issues #7-16 are 27x20 cm.
